2020 Centennial Cuvée

60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot

This wine was specially blended for Shriner’s Children’s Portland to commemorate their 100^th Anniversary of caring for all children regardless of their family’s ability to pay.  In the past century there are many thousands of children who have been helped to find the path to their future by the caring staff and donors of Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.  Dave and Debbie Hansen of Cougar Crest Estate Winery made the commitment to create and bottle a special wine for this Centennial Celebration.

 

A smooth but hearty Bordeaux blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Petit Verdot, this wine opens with aromas of dark berries and cherries with layers of toasted brioche, vanilla and spice.  As the wine rolls across the palate, it displays the intensity of a well-balanced blend that finishes with touches of leather, mocha and dried fruit.  We humbly offer this wine as a contribution to the heroic children, families, and staff that make Shriner’s Children’s Portland a beacon of love and hope.
